Tempest is partnering with a thriving and outstanding SEN school in Merton, seeking two dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team. The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide tailored support to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviours.
Work closely with students to enhance their academic progress and overall learning experience.
Foster a nurturing approach to encourage positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
De-escalate challenging behaviours effectively using proven techniques.
Utilize sensory breaks to help regulate students and maintain a calm environment.
Collaborate with staff to create strategies that improve student outcomes.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Previous experience working with SEMH students.
The ability to commit to a full-time schedule, Monday to Friday (8:30 AM - 4:00 PM).
The right to work in the UK.
