Maintenance Supervisor – Sowerby Woods, Cumbria
Salary: £56,160 per annum
Monday to Friday 08:30-17:00 (Shift coverage required on odd occasion)
Paid overtime (between 37.5 and 50 hours x1.5, over 50 hours x2)

This role will head up a small team of site-based engineers, driving a safety-first mentality whilst being responsible for controlling and managing all maintenance aspects to ensure total plant reliability by reducing downtime.
We are at the center of creating a circular economy and to do this we are always creating new and innovative ways of working This role will allow you to lead and support continuous improvement initiatives and be proactive in the development of practices and systems.
Ever gone to grab the final part to fix that Brook Crompton Motor but someone has already used the last one and didn’t tell anyone? Very annoying. In this role you will identify requirements for critical and other stocked spare parts and ensure proper use of stock system by all staff to maintain the integrity of stock management.
Your key responsibilities
• Ensure, through the maintenance team on site, there is efficient and effective planned and reactive maintenance at all times and that downtime is minimised
• Liaise with the wider site management team and ensure issues are communicated, priorities and actions are understood, and updates are provided to your team
• To assist operations on completing a weekly/monthly maintenance schedule for all planned, unplanned and emergency work orders.
• Drive and lead solutions to prevent reoccurrence of maintenance issues on site
• Assist in mechanical and electrical plant upgrades as assigned by Lifecycle Team Manager to ensure CLEER/Capex forms are completed on time and effectively
Essential criteria for this role:
• Electrically and mechanically trained, with time served experience working in a production environment, fault finding and diagnostics, reactive breakdown repairs, planned maintenance work orders
• possess a diploma or HNC/HND/C+G Electrical Engineering, HNC/HND/C+G Mechanical Engineering (or industry equivalent)
• Born leader with the ability to build and maintain strong, cohesive relationships at all levels
• High energy and positive attitude
• Excellent understanding of health, safety and environmental compliance
• You will ideally have experience working within the waste industry, but experience in other process based industries such as waste water, manufacturing, quarrying etc would be considered.
• Ability to multi task
