Senior Finance Analyst, E2E Network Design
Amazon is seeking a high performing Senior Finance Analyst to partner with E2E Network Design driving EU Outbound network connectivity optimization within the current year (Peak, off-Peak) and beyond (1-3 years).
As a Senior Finance Analyst, you will be partnering across Business units to make end-to-end optimal network decisions. You will own the financial framework to optimize network connectivity and identify opportunities to streamline/automate planning processes. You will directly influence business decisions, and the long-term strategy to improve Cost-to-Serve via network design improvements. This is an exciting role for a Senior Finance Analyst who enjoys analytics and is keen to influence business strategy.
Key job responsibilities:
1. Building scalable mechanisms to drive efficient network design for EU OB, including Sort Centers, Surface Transportation and AIR.
2. Leading financial analysis and due diligence to drive network connectivity decisions that improve Amazon cashflows.
3. Engaging with partner teams to deep dive and improve network planning inputs across organizations (ATS, AMZL, CF, SWA, etc.).
4. Communicating financial impact of network decisions and changes in network metrics throughout the year and across planning cycles to senior leaders.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or a Bachelor's degree and experience in quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance).
- Experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field.
- Experience in multiple finance and accounting roles.
- Experience in accounts receivable or account payable.
- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
- Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making.
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis.
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA, or CPA.
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
- Experience in identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan.
- Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits).
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.
