This role will be within the Centeral Group - (Kent / Yorkshire / Cheshire)
Responsible For:
Scoping, specification & delivery of specific capital projects to cost timescale & delivery.
Main Purpose of Position:
The scoping out of, definition, specification & delivery of capital projects to highest standards including best practice controls, communication & objective delivery
Key Accountabilities:
Creation and delivery of project work plans, revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
The identification of resources and assignment of responsibilities.
Management of day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s).
Ensuring full competency in project planning & execution methodology.
Completion of project documentation including appropriate version control & data archiving.
To work closely with relevant stake holders ensuring effective and efficient implementation of the project(s).
Understand basic revenue models and P/L; meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing project budgets; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances and initiating corrective actions.
Will work closely with developers and designers to define and document questions, liaise with business via appropriate methods to agree requirements and explain feasibility.
Submission of project status reports to stakeholders; review project goal/ achievement comparisons & recommend points for learning & improvement.
Key Skills / Knowledge / Experience:
* Experience of implementing major capital & engineering projects
* Demonstrated leadership, team working and communication from factory to Exec level in operations or engineering arenas
* 10-15 years proven Operations & Supply Chain experience within FMCG, variety of environments and multi-site
* Formal project management training/qualification and environmental awareness training/experience
* Able to use CAD 2D/3D modelling etc to modify & create proposals for factory & equipment layouts etc
* Formal health and safety qualification – IOSH and/or NEBOSH
* Manufacturing experience of health, safety and environmental legislation, systems and local control/implementation
* Food hygiene qualified with experience of working within retailer Codes of Practice and knowledge of audit requirements for engineering
* Full and current driving license
* Able to travel and be flexible in location for short to medium term assignments
* Handle multiple projects, moving at varying/prioritised pace, with clear closure and handover to “business as usual”
* PC and systems literate, able to inspire others in beneficial usage
