Job Title: Payments Industry Manager
Virgin Money is seeking a highly skilled Payments Industry Manager to lead our compliance efforts and manage our relationship with SWIFT. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring our adherence to SWIFT rules and industry best practices, representing our company at SWIFT UK working groups and committees, and managing our SWIFT relationship to ensure the adoption of new products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support our Leadership team and Operational teams to ensure compliance with SWIFT rules and industry best practices.
* Represent Virgin Money at SWIFT UK working groups and committees, providing input to industry discussions shaping the future of international payments and services.
* Manage our SWIFT relationship, analyzing and sharing new products and services with internal stakeholders for consideration of adoption.
* Lead on projects to improve our payment processes or implement changes introduced as part of the annual mandatory SWIFT Standards releases.
* Manage the annual SWIFT Security Controls Framework attestation, ensuring Virgin Money complies with mandatory SWIFT security controls.
* Support the governance and risk oversight of payment processes to ensure compliance with scheme rules, internal policies, and regulations.
* Assist with any SWIFT-related incidents that may arise, both internal and external.
Requirements:
* Experience working in Payments and/or experience working in a regulatory/compliance function.
* Experience working in the Financial Services Industry.
* Experience in managing senior stakeholders internally and externally.
* The ability to disseminate information and cascade across the organization to ensure VM's payment systems remain compliant with scheme and regulatory requirements.
* A proven analytic approach, investigating, using data, and helping to understand what's happening, why, and being able to explain this to stakeholders.
* An understanding of how the UK and wider payments industry operates, including payment schemes and regulations.
* A positive and enthusiastic approach to help us develop and be the best team we can be.
* The ability to work independently and with a team when required.
* Experience working on strategic projects and delivering change.
