Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed School Facilities/Site Manager to work within an Estates team. The successful candidate will be based in Cheshunt and will work flexibly at other local locations. Hours of work are 8.00 am – 4.00 pm Monday – Thursday and Friday 8.00 am – 3.30 pm with some flexibility to work outside of these hours. There is also an excellent range of benefits.
The ideal candidate will:
* Have experience of working in facilities management, ideally in education or leisure.
* Have a knowledge of Health and Safety practices.
* Have a commitment to working with people in a school environment.
* Be practical and have good general DIY skills, plus an ability to develop these skills.
* Be a proficient user of technology including Excel.
* Have high levels of physical fitness, as this is required for some of the hands-on duties. There will be occasions that you may be required to work at height.
* Offer flexibility to work additional hours/days if required.
* Have high levels of energy and resilience.
* Be an excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills.
* Plan, organise and schedule work as well as managing departmental rotas.
* Strive for excellence and be committed to continual improvement.
* Review and improve site security.
* Manage site utilities and contribute to ideas for energy saving initiatives.
* Supervise site cleaning.
* Have the ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team.
* Be confident in resolving problems and offering solutions.
