We are searching for a Headteacher who can lead our journey into the next decade, inspiring all of us who work tirelessly for everyone connected to our dedicated and committed community.
The successful candidate will be a sincere and strong team player, working closely with all members of the school staff, whilst also able to support staff development through their own teaching, modelling and coaching.
There is a teaching commitment of 0.2 required as well as curriculum leadership of a specific subject area(s). The successful candidate will recognise the importance of developing a strong partnership with parents, governors and the local community, as well as with our partners in the Compass Group.
We are looking for a Headteacher who:
• is an outstanding practitioner with recent teaching experience who will lead and motivate staff and children through the delivery of an exciting creative and inclusive curriculum and with a commitment to raising standards
• is a natural and experienced leader with vision, with a clear educational philosophy
• has excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
• is capable of building strong working relationships across many varied sectors here in the heart of Longleat
• is an enabler who works in a collaborative style with all the dedicated and supportive stakeholders at Horningsham
• has high expectations for teaching and learning and ensures that all children can thrive and succeed
• is nurturing, passionate, compassionate, approachable and resilient
• can work alongside other local Headteachers to learn, improve and share practice
