Job Role:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Deputy Ward Manager to provide clinical and managerial leadership to the Nursing team at Park Lodge. The successful candidate will support the Ward Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centred care. This role is crucial for the recruitment, retention, and development of the nursing team, fostering a positive and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Clinical and Managerial Leadership: Lead the nursing team, ensuring effective workload management and safe discharge of duties.
* Supervision and Support: Provide expertise, guidance, and regular supervision to the nursing staff, ensuring high standards of care.
* Quality and Governance: Contribute to clinical governance, participate in audits, and ensure regulatory compliance.
* Patient Care: Ensure that care plans are person-centred and reflect the needs and voices of the young people served.
* Professional Development: Support the ongoing development of the nursing team through training, supervision, and appraisal.
Person Specification:
* Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.
* Evidence of continuous professional development.
* Experience in a leadership role within a similar clinical setting.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to manage complex and diverse patient needs while maintaining high standards of care.
* Management or leadership qualification.
* Experience in service development and improvement initiatives.
