About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Plymouth, working on new build residential developments in Vistry Cornwall South West. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing costs and maximising value for money.

Job Description:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of new build residential developments. Your primary focus will be on managing all costs associated with these projects, including labour, materials, plant, and subcontracts. You will work closely with our construction team to identify areas for cost savings and implement strategies to minimise expenditure.
You will be responsible for preparing and maintaining accurate cost reports, conducting regular progress meetings with site teams, and providing timely updates to senior management. Your expertise will also be required to negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best possible prices.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure. You should also be proficient in using quantity surveying software and have a strong understanding of construction law and regulations.
Requirements:
* Qualified Quantity Surveyor (MRICS or equivalent)
* Minimum 5 years' experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the residential sector
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to work effectively under pressure
* Proficient in using quantity surveying software
* Strong understanding of construction law and regulations
