As a Corporate Tax Consultant, you'll be responsible for navigating corporate income tax matters. You'll ensure our statements are efficient and compliant by analyzing capital allowances, tax structures, and other key factors. Your expertise will guide the Head of Tax and senior finance team in making informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities
Your role involves supporting the team primarily on corporate income tax matters, including:
• Capital allowances management
• Transfer pricing analysis
• Withholding tax compliance
• General tax analysis and planning
• Preparation of supporting working papers, including data assembly into tax returns and payment calculations
Additionally, you'll:
• Interrogate accounting systems and analyze outputs from other departments
• Participate in ad hoc consulting and advisory projects
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, external advisors, and revenue authorities
• Contribute to process control design and testing
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
• Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualification
• In-depth knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, including journal adjustments and GL reconciliations
• Proficiency in software applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SAP
• Retail industry experience is desirable
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Negotiation skills, ability to sustain opinions and handle challenges
• Commitment to lifelong learning and personal development
• Ability to work independently, managing conflicting priorities with ease and efficiency
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
