Your Role
As a Transport Planner, you will take the lead in managing the daily route planning of their transport fleet. Your focus will be on ensuring maximum utilisation and efficiency in the movement of plant equipment. Here's what you'll be responsible for:
* Optimise Efficiency: Manage the planning, routing, and logistics of Low Loaders and Sprayers.
* Adapt and Overcome: Proactively address changes based on demand.
* Communicate Effectively: Ensure the transport plan is communicated to all relevant parties.
* Coordinate Logistics: Schedule daily store runs for equipment refuelling.
* Build Relationships: Work with external transport suppliers for optimal rates.
* Ensure Compliance: Monitor inspections, MOTs, servicing, and driver holidays.
* Enhance Operations: Identify challenges and opportunities to improve transport efficiency.
* Support Administration: Maintain records, prepare reports, and provide general support to the Transport department.
* On-Call Duties: Participate in the 'Out of Hours' rota from 18:00-23:00.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone with:
* Proficient Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Strong organisational abilities and the capacity to meet tight deadlines.
