Based on Manton Road, Newly Weds Foods has been operational in Corby since 2002. The site is proud to be the only industrial ingredients manufacturer in Europe with a unique process that creates authentic Japanese “Panko” style breadcrumb.
The Position
Newly Weds Foods Ltd is looking to recruit a full time and permanent Maintenance Engineer to join our experienced and dedicated Engineering Team at our site in Corby on double days rotating shift, 06:00 - 14:00, 14:00 - 22:00.
This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to join the Maintenance department within a well-established factory. The successful candidate will be suitably trained and experienced. They will be highly motivated, flexible, reliable, experienced and ready for a challenging and rewarding new role. As well as being focused on continuous improvement and implementing specific products, they will also be responsible for maintaining the upkeep of the buildings and grounds areas of the Corby plant facility. There will be opportunities to work overtime at weekends.
What does it involve?
1. Maintenance of plant and equipment;
2. Identifying, diagnosing and fixing faults and breakdowns;
3. Carrying out of planned Preventative Maintenance;
4. Facilitating and executing continuous improvement activities;
5. Liaising with Engineering Manager to plan corrective actions;
6. Prioritising and managing workload to ensure minimum impact on production efficiency;
7. Completion of paperwork;
8. Supporting all manufacturing facilities as required;
What skills will you need?
1. NVQ Level 3 or higher in Engineering Maintenance or equivalent;
2. Experience/further education in engineering;
3. Experience of PLC systems for fault finding and minor programming modifications;
4. Experience using and installing Variable Speed Drives (VSD’s);
5. Excellent communication skills, and able to balance conflicting demands; must be fluent in English at a Technical level;
6. Excellent time management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure;
7. Basic Health and Safety and Basic Food Hygiene Qualifications;
8. Experience and knowledge of delivering CI activities;
9. Knowledge of the FMCG food industry (desirable);
10. Knowledge of up to date maintenance techniques and policies (desirable);
