We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Lecturer in A Level Accounting with the potential to deliver outstanding student achievement and a commitment to driving forward the provision of Accounting to ensure student success.
This post would suit newly qualified graduates who wish to gain a teaching qualification or newly qualified teachers. Lecturer A’s have reduced contact hours and are supported through a mentoring system and staff development programmes to develop their classroom practice.
As an ambitious Trainee Lecturer, you will work closely within the A-Levels Division to ensure that students are actively engaged in all aspects of the delivery of AS/A-Level Accounting and you will also work within the Division and liaise with cross-College areas to enhance the student experience and provide the widest range of opportunities to our students.
As a Trainee Lecturer your contact teaching hours, relevant to subject specialism, will increase as you gain in skills and experience.
Minimum Requirements:
1. A relevant degree level qualification in a relevant subject.
2. Possession of a PGCE or Certificate in Education is ideal; however, the College has an excellent Staff Development programme where a recognised teaching qualification can be gained.
3. Knowledge of current issues in A Levels relating to the curriculum area.
4. Knowledge of current Accounting specifications is desirable.
The salary for this post is up to £27,567.
