Description The Service & Team: The Licensing Service deliver numerous Licensing functions across the County, the Senior Technical team sit within the service, working within time frames to assist in the processing of applications and issuing of licences, delivering excellent customer service outcomes. The Role: The successful individual, in this part time role, will primarily, but not solely, deal with licensing for the Taxi and Private Hire Trade, undertaking face to face appointments for persons applying to become licensed drivers, advising and assisting customers, processing applications and issuing licences in accordance with legislation, polices and procedures, with an emphasis on accuracy and delivering within time frames. Other functions will involve successfully working collaboratively with other team members and partners, managing inboxes, processing applications relating to other areas of licensing, undertaking payments, responding to enquiries. This is a public/customer-facing role, where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies. Working Pattern: The role is for 18.5 hrs per week, ideally over 2.5 days, with flexibility on days and hours worked. This is a hybrid role, the successful applicant will be expected to work from an office at least one full day per week to undertake face to face appointments, on some occasions this will be twice a week to accommodate service delivery.
