About the opportunity:
We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. In this role, you will:
* Prepare and maintain budgets/cost plans; liaise with external consultants and attend design team meetings.
* Collaborate with Technical Project Manager and Production Manager to evaluate design proposals and scopes of work.
* Develop, issue, and review detailed tender documents, ensuring alignment with project requirements and budget.
* Negotiate contractor terms and conditions, manage valuations, variation accounts, and forecast final accounts.
* Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks, ensuring compliance with quality and cost standards.
* Oversee contractor payments, variations, and performance, providing support for legal cost recovery processes.
* Complete monthly CVRs, monitor cost movements, and identify potential savings or risks.
* Stay updated on relevant legislation, participate in meetings, and visit sites to ensure project success.
About the benefits and rewards:
The salary will be dependent on the level of exposure to the residential industry. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary in the region of up to £75k DOE. In addition to the basic salary there will be further company benefits.
About the requirements:
* Degree preferred; industry-related business qualification
* Proven Senior Quantity Surveyor experience in the house building/construction industry
* Experience with COINS and IT literate, adaptable to new systems
* Knowledge of Building Regulations, NHBC, and Health & Safety
* Experience in high-rise construction and cladding remediation
