Description
Reporting to the Operations Director of the E-Waste stream within Enva, the successful candidate will play a key role in the continued development of the safety management programme at the Enva Toomebridge site as part of the Operations team. This role is an opportunity for a safety professional to gain experience in a dynamic work environment within an ever-expanding company.
Whilst the hours are typically between 8am and 5pm Mon - Fri, there are occasions when it will be necessary to work outside these times (including evenings and weekends) and a flexible approach is essential.

Key Responsibilities
1. Day-to-day administration and co-ordination of the HSEQ Management System / ISO90001, 14000, 45001 and 50001 standards.
2. Delivery and support of HSE related training.
3. Support site engagement (e.g., Safety Forums, Tool Box Talks) and awareness around HSEQ matters.
4. To ensure that operational activities are compliant with relevant legal and good practice requirements. Liaison with regulatory agencies/bodies - ensuring compliance elements are in place.
5. Insurance and Permit compliance.
6. Operate and maintain a robust system of checks, inspections and audits which provide verification of the effectiveness of operational controls.
7. Supporting risk assessments in conjunction with relevant employees and managers.
8. Identification and evaluation of environmental aspects in consultation with management.
9. Organising and ensuring occupational monitoring and environmental monitoring is carried out and reported as necessary.
10. Support the reporting of accidents & incidents and their subsequent investigation and corrective actions.
11. Inductions and control of staff, contractors and visitors.
This is not an exhaustive list. You may also be required to carry out any other duties as required by the business that you are qualified/trained in that meet the requirements of this role.
Job Requirements
1. Monday to Friday
2. 40 hours per week
3. 8am to 5pm
4. Regular exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery.
5. Unpaid lunch break included.
6. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
1. IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent) as a minimum, experience with operational safety including completion of risk assessments and procedural documentation.
2. Experience and knowledge in incident investigation and root causal analysis.
3. Good knowledge of HSE legislation.
4. Evidence of practical audit/inspection experience.
5. Experience of delivering training to personnel of all levels.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively and to plan and manage own agenda.
8. Logical in approach with the ability to analyse data and formulate action plans.
9. Positive and motivated with flexible and adaptable attitude.
10. Problem solving and solution focused ability.
11. Strong PC and technical knowledge and skills with an excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Teams.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to develop and build relationships across an organisation at all levels with the aim of fostering a positive safety culture while supporting productivity and continued operational success.
Desirable:
1. Internal Auditors qualification.
2. Experience working within waste industry most desirable, however, alternate industries (manufacturing, oil, gas, fuel, construction) with relevant experience will be considered.
3. Good conflict resolution skills.
4. Good understanding of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001.
