We're looking for a versatile and experienced Senior Facility Construction Co-ordinator who can manage all construction work across the Preston facility. Ensuring all construction work undertaken is fully compliant with site requirements and CDM regulations. We're looking for someone who is self-motivated and a team player looking to push their career to the next level and keen to work and grow as part of an integrated team. Main Responsibilities for Senior Facility Construction Co-ordinator : The key area of accountability is to ensure the safe delivery of all construction activities in the Preston Laboratory meeting the project requirements for cost, time and quality. This key accountability is achieved through: Holding the role of Principal Contractor for all Preston construction projects, working closely with the Client and the Principal Designer. Ensuring all projects comply with the requirements of the CDM regulations and that Construction Phase Plans are in place. Ensuring all construction work at the Preston facility is planned and that sufficient SQEP resource is available to deliver the plan. Managing the day-to-day work of the Preston Construction team. Managing the work of all contractors in Preston construction areas, ensuring that all the required documentation is in place prior to work commencing. Ensuring all specified construction and installation standards are met (Surveillance and inspection) Ensuring site safety and safe working practices are adhered to and promote a positive health andsafety culture. Ensuring that all construction activities comply with UKNNL and UK legal requirements, includingNuclear Site License Conditions. Monitoring construction safety performance and delivering construction improvement projects. Working with the design teams to ensure construction is considered during the design process. Essential Criteria for Senior Facility Construction Co-ordinator: (Equivalent experience can be offered in lieu if it is deemed appropriate by the UKNNL Construction Manager) HNC/ONC or equivalent in an engineering, electrical or construction discipline. Preferably from a trade background. NEBOSH Construction Certificate. Experience working on construction projects in a management/supervisory position, with experience in multi-discipline contractor management and a detailed understanding of the CDM 2015 regulations. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be a self-starter, able to take responsibility and work with minimum supervision, at times under pressure with excellent organisational skills; be able to multitask and re-prioritise to meet changing needs and project deadlines in a team environment. Ability to obtain SC level security clearance (this includes but is not limited to identity, employment, financial and criminal record checks plus 5 years' worth of UK residency). Desirable Criteria for Senior Facility Construction Co-ordinator: Experience of managing construction work on a nuclear licenced site. Membership of a relevant professional body Why join us?
