This Technical Support Engineer will create and modify electrical drawings using AutoCAD Electrical, have a good knowledge of electrical systems and components in industrial applications, such as automotive (domestic or commercial building electrical experience can't be considered), with at least an HNC in electrical or automotive engineering, and ideally experience of industrial electrical vehicle control systems design and fault finding.
You will be assisting the Engineering team with the application of gas detection systems as part of conversions of industrial materials handling equipment for UK Ex, ATEX and IEC Ex compliant machines, hazardous area regulations and design standards knowledge and an understanding mechanical electrical integration will be preferable.
Responsible for assisting in the sourcing and selection of components, and replacements for obsolete parts, helping to specify Ex certified primary traction batteries, creating project documentation, such as product risk assessments, BOM generation and creating electrical drawings in AutoCAD. In addition, you will also provide technical customer support.
We are looking for a highly motivated/self-starter, who can work on multiple projects concurrently in a fast paced environment, manage their own workload and priorities, with high attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
