The role:
The M25 is one of our Flagship projects in the UK! It is the most used part of the UK Strategic Road Network with it seeing over 200,000 vehicles per day and it’s a critical infrastructure asset for personal and goods vehicles into and around our capital. The network includes around 800 structures and 5 tunnels, so it requires high levels of performance, constant improvement and repairs to keep it operating smoothly.
We’ve formed a Joint Venture project called Connect Plus Services (CPS) to work with our partners to widen, operate and maintain the M25 under a 30-year contract and we are looking for a Business Planning & Performance Manager to set the overarching direction for CPS and hold the Business performance & Planning functions to account for delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Define CPS annual business plan to address the evolving demands of the network, our clients (National Highways and Connect Plus) and our JV Parent Companies.
* Drive performance, holding functions to account and assure delivery against plan
* Track, analyse & report performance
* Set annual budget envelope for functions
* Define and regularly review CPS governance
* Supporting BP&P Director in reporting on financial performance associated with Planning & Performance team
* Team performance and developing collaborative relationships across BP&P teams, A&NP and Asset Delivery teams, and developing excellent working relationships with all key stakeholders
* Responsible for standing up the new BP&P operating team
* Prepare and regularly review and refine CPS business plan, considering current challenges, future opportunities and evolving our customer and stakeholder needs.
* Guide the business in performance management, addressing issues promptly and efficiently
* Holding business leaders accountable and closely monitoring performance and risk against our Strategic Business Objectives and contractual obligations
* Collaborate closely with other senior leaders to elevate our performance levels and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
* A relevant professional qualification and ideally Chartered / Incorporated status with a recognised and relevant UK institution
* Experience in business strategy planning, performance management and budgetary setting in a critical infrastructure environment
* Experience of working in a Joint Venture or similar arrangement (desirable)
* Experience of Operational and Maintenance environment or in a critical infrastructure environment (desirable)
