Key Results Area Lead a team inclusively and encourage the contribution of all team members, supporting them in a complex environment. Provide specialist advice in all areas of Nuclear Medicine Therapy, including facilities, equipment, and Radiopharmaceuticals. Prepare procedures, protocols, and competencies documentation for different Nuclear Medicine treatments. Work with Medical Physics to ensure the maintenance of equipment and facilities. Supervise and participate in the treatment of Iodine-131 and Radium-223 patients. Be responsible for Imaging of Therapy Patients. GFR Tests Responsibility Coordinate the service for timely delivery with the correct skill mix; supervise and participate; check and report results. Participate in the development of the service to introduce new treatments. Attend internal and external meetings on behalf of the Trust and provide feedback to the Nuclear Medicine leadership team. Participate in scientific problem solving and troubleshooting. Provide and sign off competency training for the team and conduct annual appraisals. Perform the role of Radiation Protection Supervisor: Write Local Rules and conduct Risk Assessments following the advice from the Trust Radiation Protection Adviser to comply with the Ionising Radiations Regulations (2017). Act as an operator defined by the Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations (2017). Manage the ordering, storage, and disposal of waste in accordance with site permit to comply with Environmental Permitting Regulation (2016), guided by the Radiation Waste Adviser. Provide training for stakeholder staff groups and participate in the Radiopharmacy Rota as part of Contingency Planning to maintain staff resilience across the department.
