Job Role: Commissioning Manager
Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 + package
Location: Tamworth
An exciting opportunity has landed for an experienced Commissioning Manager to join our clients Capital Delivery team on the Severn Trent Water framework. You will lead and mentor a group of diverse commissioning engineers, ensuring successful delivery of their capital works programme over a wide variety of construction projects and process's, many of which will be market leading within the water industry!

About the role:
Working alongside the Design and Delivery teams and contract partners, with key stakeholder engagement you will be responsible for ensuring efficient and optimized delivery of a programme of works through the deployment of Commissioning engineer resources.
Resource individual projects appropriately to ensure the provision of technical support and assistance to operations teams during commissioning and handover of projects
Management of key / escalated stakeholders. Ensuring that the team respond to and address incidents with the Project Manager as and when they occur and ensure the root cause is identified and actions taken to prevent re-occurrence.
Drive the identification and management of risks which could impact on the successful delivery of the Capital Programme, ensure compliance with external legislation and statutory obligations
Ensure effective operation of the commissioning process, review processes and maintenance regimes, liaise with stakeholders across supply chain and Operational colleagues
Develop technical and leadership capabilities within your team, actively managing performance and supporting development opportunities for team members
Lead the commissioning team, drive a positive 'can do' attitude, through support and direct leadership
Drive the 'Health and Safety' standards programme within the team, encourage new ideas or initiatives and promote a safety focused culture within the group
Manage the team's skills matrix, support and develop new learning for the good of the individual and wider company
Contribute to problem resolution in areas where no single solution necessarily exists and/or where no standard applies. Support design teams, share experience and industry best practice
Respond to and address incidents with the stakeholders as and when they occur and ensure the root cause is identified and actions taken to prevent re-occurrence
About you:
Extensive experience in Waste and Water Treatment Plant & Processes and the commissioning thereof
Be able to demonstrate successful examples of project delivery
Expertise and demonstrable experience in the verification of plant processes and performance
Plant acceptance on behalf of Client organisations
Overview knowledge of NEC Conditions of Contract
Experience of supply chain management (with emphasis on financial, H&S, outputs, and quality)
Risk management knowledge and understanding
Experience of working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to deliver project objectives
Planning and implementation skills
Management of a high performing team and getting the best out of individuals
Qualifications:
Qualified in an Engineering, Construction and/or Process Discipline
Electrically qualified and conversant with latest regulations
BEng/BSc, HND/HNC,NVQ in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Qualification or extensive firsthand experience
Relevant site qualifications such as CSR/CSCS Card, Water Hygiene etc
Site safety accreditations such as IOSH
Full UK driving license
Desirable: Full Membership status (or close to) of an appropriate professional body (e.g. ICE, CIWEM, IMechE, IET)
