Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will report into the Deputy Engineering Manager. You will ensure continuous running of the production machines by minimising downtime during day-to-day operations, PPM's, fault finding, and repair.

Description
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will ensure continuous running of the production machines by minimising downtime during day-to-day operations, PPM's, fault finding, and repair. You will also:
1. Provide a right first-time maintenance service to promote high-quality products and services.
2. Maintain plant and equipment according to manufacturer's instructions.
3. Identify spare parts to effect repairs using machine manufacturer's manuals and order through stores.
4. Maintain engineering standards and records in accordance with ISO 9001 and 9002.
5. Follow up on outstanding issues to a successful conclusion.
6. Carry out weekly detailed inspections, maintain logs, and defect report sheets.
7. Maintain and improve plant efficiency through planned PPMs of production machines.
8. Complete detailed maintenance reports using a computer-based maintenance package.
9. Report any dangerous occurrences or unsafe machine conditions.
10. Carry out SUSA discussions and monthly internal safety audits.
Profile
Requirements include:
* Mechanical engineering apprenticeship (HNC/HND are desirable).
* IOSH/NEBOSH certification.
* FLT/cherry picker license (if you do not have a license, you will be put through the training).
* Welding and First Aid certification.
* Two years minimum experience in an FMCG production environment.
* Experience with steam systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PPM/TPM maintenance operations.
Job Offer
Salary of £46,716. Current shift pattern is a 12 hours shift working across days and nights, on a 36-hour working week.
