We have an exciting opportunity to join Cornerstone as our new Business Development Officer on a full-time, permanent basis.
Reporting to our Head of Business Development, you will be responsible for producing professional bid documents, maintaining contractual paperwork & records and support in growing Cornerstone's income in line with our charitable aims, values and strategic direction.
Location
This role can be based in any of our main offices ( Aberdeen, Dundee or Glasgow ), or part of our hybrid working model. If opting for hybrid, we would need you to live within a reasonable commute of Aberdeen, Dundee or Glasgow. There will be occasions that we'll need you to travel to other Cornerstone branch locations (travel expenses would be reimbursed as set out in Cornerstone’s expense policy with travel reimbursed by HMRC legislation).
The Role
Working closely with our Branch Leaders and functional leads across the organisation, you'll support organisational growth and produce high quality tender documents to support Cornerstone to secure existing and new work. You'll also take part in project work, including research, planning and policy development.
You'll monitor and identify new business and growth opportunities aligned to our Business Development Plan and present these opportunities to our Head of Business Development and Wider Leadership Team. You'll support the development of practice and ensure the Cornerstone Policy and Procedure Framework is up to date and accessible while proactively identifying and implementing improvements.
This role will also involve analysing risks associated with new and existing contract terms and developing mitigations in consultation with our Branch Leaders, maintaining a contracts risk register.

About You
What we'll need you to have: -
1. A proven track record of producing high-quality professional written documents
2. The ability to write clear, concise and compelling content with correct grammar, punctuation and spelling
3. Good computer skills and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, Sharepoint and Teams
4. Great organisational skills with the ability to coordinate inputs from multiple sources and work to tight deadlines
5. Excellent communication skills with the ability to understand and articulate requirements
6. A proactive and solutions focussed approach to problem solving
It would be great if you also have: -
7. Experience and understanding of supporting tender submissions for publicly commissioned services
8. Experience of in managing small scale cross-functional projects
9. SCQF level 9/10 or equivalent in a relevant discipline
