We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our client's Finance team based in Livingston. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication skills, as credit control duties are a key part of the role. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Raising sales invoices, processing purchase invoices, and bank transactions
2. Handling CIS submissions to HMRC
3. Supplier statement and weekly bank reconciliations
4. Preparing Intrastat returns and BACS runs
5. Managing sales applications for supply and fit projects
6. Credit control calls on a monthly basis
7. Monthly reporting using graphs
8. Liaising with regional staff to ensure best accounting practices
9. Maintaining financial confidentiality and record-keeping
As a Finance Assistant, you will become an essential part of the small team, supporting the financial operations and ensuring the smooth handling of accounts-related tasks. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, so our client is looking for a good communicator with strong attention to detail.
