The Administrator will be responsible for all generaladministrative duties within Alnwick Medical Group.
The Administration department consists of 6 sub departments,Scanning & Coding, Summarising, GP Administration, Nurse Administration, IT& Private Paperwork this role will focus on the scanning & coding subdepartment where there are several roles which include: discharges, emails, post, bloods, urgent scanning, scanning &unassigned tasks, OOH, 111, results, A-Hoc duties as well as other roles withinthe department. You will be required to support the team as a whole covering other sub departments to meet the business needs. This may also mean moving sub departments if the business requires.
6. Carry out any other reasonable duties within theoverall function, commensurate with the grading and level of responsibility ofthe post.
7. Expected to help cover in all 6 sub-departmentsof the Administration department

Job Summary
The Administrator will fall into the Scanning sub department but maybe required to work or support in one of the other 5 sub departemnst within the Administration Department and Alnwick Medical Group.
Key tasks and Responsibilities
22. Scan and read code relevant information frompatient clinical records into the practice computer system, working strictly inaccordance with the practice scanning and coding protocol. As well as other roles within the scanning sub-department.
23. Review medical records and produce an accuratesummary of the patients medical history.
24. Sortingpatient records and letters.
25. Reviewingmedical records to produce a comprehensive summary of patients medical history.
26. Ensuringknowledge of the Read Codes system.
27. Inputtingdata using the Read Codes system.
28. Retrievingpatient medical records and interpreting data for the use of clinical staffmembers
29. Auditingdata collection to ensure Practice standards are met.
30. Maintainingpatient registration and recall systems
31. Ensuringthat medical records are complete and accurate ahead of each consulting session.
32. Keepinga methodical system of filing allowing for the quick retrieval of files
33. Ensuregeneral upkeep of paper files, repairing when necessary.
34. Maintainfamiliarity with scanning and coding protocols.
35. Minute taking for multi-agency & inhouse meetings.
36. To carry out any other reasonable duties withinthe overall function, commensurate with the grading and level of responsibilityof the post.
37. Ad-hoc administration duties & be prepared to help with cover in all departments of the Administration Team.

Qualifications
Essential
58. - GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English
59. - NVQ (or equivalent)
60. - Basic IT

61. - NVQ in Customer Service, Health or Business management
62. -Knowledgeable and skilled in the use of SystmOne or other clinical systems.
63. - Proficient typing skills
64. - Knowledge of GP schedules, training requirements and commitments
