The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Events & Online Sales Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in supporting our events programme and digital retail operations. This is a dual role that blends event coordination with e-commerce support. During term time, you’ll help organise and execute our university campus sales, ensuring smooth event logistics and an excellent customer experience. Outside of peak event periods, you’ll assist with online sales operations, helping to manage product listings, social media content and online marketing campaigns. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, varied role and is eager to gain experience in both physical and digital retail environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Events Coordination
* Assist in planning and delivering our university campus sales events handling event logistics, including van hire, travel, accommodation and stock allocations.
* Liaise with universities and student unions to confirm booking details and event paperwork.
·Maintain event schedules, staff rotas and internal systems with up-to-date event information.
·Respond to emails and calls related to campus events and online sales and perform other general administrative tasks.
·Track sales data and contribute to reporting and reconciliation.
·Assist with recruitment and training sessions for part-time campus sales staff.
Marketing & Communication
* Create and schedule engaging social media content to support both campus events and online sales.
* Assist with printed marketing materials (flyers, posters, signage).
* Maintain a basic marketing calendar to ensure timely campaign execution.
* Draft marketing copy for product listings, emails and social media.
* Monitor social media feedback and suggest improvements.
* Help create and update product listings on platforms like Amazon, Shopify and Decathlon.
* Assist in monitoring product content, keywords, images and stock status.
* Support with online order queries and administrative tasks.
* Contribute to small online marketing campaigns and promotions.
What We’re Looking For:
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Confident communicator, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) or Google Sheets.
* Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook).
* Willingness to travel and support early/late operations during event seasons.
* Hands-on, proactive attitude – eager to get involved in all aspects of the role.
* Full UK driving license.
* Educated to degree level (any discipline).
* Previous experience in events, retail, or sales (e.g., part-time job, placement, or student society involvement).
* Familiarity with online selling platforms like Amazon, Shopify, or Decathlon.
* Understanding of university student culture and the academic calendar.
* Experience in creating social media content (personal or professional).
* Interest in marketing, e-commerce, or merchandising.
* Basic skills in product photography, Canva, or similar creative tools.
* Prior experience in administration or customer service.
