Job summary The practice nurse will work as part of the primary healthcare team providing Personal Medical Services to the patients of the practice, as part of a shift system operated between 0800-2000 daily. Main duties of the job Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by senior nursing staff and GPs Cervical cytology Wound care / ulcer care/Doppler Removal of Sutures/clips New Patient Medicals/Urinalysis Travel Clinic ECGs Venepuncture Hypertension Management Routine immunizations/Childhood immunisations including Covid-19 vaccinations Chaperoning and assisting patients where appropriate who are being examined by another clinician Assisting GPs with minor surgery and coil fittings Requesting pathology tests, for example urine culture, swabs Chromic disease management - interest in Diabetes/Coronary Heart About us Beechfield Medical Centre is a well-established and highly regarded GP practice based in the heart of the Lincolnshire market town of Spalding, operating from modern purpose built premises.
