Brentside High School is seeking to appoint a SaFE Worker to support the wellbeing, behaviour and pastoral intervention and support needed for effective learning within an allocated Key Stage. This is a key role in monitoring and supporting the progress of students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
We are a ‘popular and oversubscribed’ (Ofsted), 11-19 comprehensive school of 1,600 students. SaFE workers assist students’ academic and holistic progress. They ensure that Brentside’s Learning Agreement is adhered to and the appropriate interventions are put in place in order to make students feel safe, secure and successful. They provide support to the Year Leader through their contribution to all aspects of the development of independent learners within their year group in order to lay the foundation for a successful academic career in preparation for their future.
The ideal candidate for this post:
· Will provide support to the Year Team in meeting the welfare and pastoral needs of students
· Will be able to manage behaviour and pastoral related concerns successfully and liaise with parents and carers and outside agencies to provide appropriate support
· Will share our belief that everyone can benefit from and has an entitlement to high quality educational opportunities
· Will contribute to the inclusive ethos of Brentside High School; supporting the positive image of the school in the local and wider community
What we offer:
· A positive working environment providing opportunities to make a difference to the lives and futures of our students
· The opportunity to develop personally and professionally with structured performance management
· A supportive Senior Leadership Team
