Connections Services Operations Manager
Glasgow, with hybrid working
£50,000 to £60,000 per annum, with up to 10% annual bonus and health care

Joining the team as a Connections Services Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading and developing a team to maximise output, productivity levels and customer satisfaction in line with business goals and regulatory requirements.
What you’ll be doing
We will look for you to lead and be responsible for driving Customer Service improvements and delivering the required operating plan targets. You will ensure effective operations and compliance of regulatory aspects of managing connection requests and providing quotations by ensuring that processes and reporting arrangements are in place to meet the regulatory and licence requirements. Managing the integration of Operational Excellence principles in all undertakings, leading and managing teams to ensure each individual’s potential is fully developed and inspire a culture that ensures the delivery of business output. Accurately report business deliverables in line with Iberdrola and Regulatory requirements, while supporting and maintaining a robust stakeholder and customer relationships on behalf of Scottish Power to facilitate delivery of customer and stakeholder strategic objectives.
Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for leading and coaching team leaders and their teams to ensure compliance with commercial, network design, engineering and technical standards and ensure strict adherence to the appropriate regulatory licence obligations and safety legislation for the electricity distribution network.
You’ll liaise with other ScottishPower Energy Networks departments to allow for the effective management of the wider SPEN strategic objectives, while leading and driving continual performance improvement in performance outputs and customer service and encourage integration of innovation to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of connections outputs.
What you’ll bring
We are looking for candidates who are experienced in managing, motivating, coaching, and developing a team. Being a strong operational manager, you can monitor and track performance and delivery, identifying key improvements to delivery methods or processes to drive efficiency. You will have excellent management skills and ability to match manpower requirements to future business needs. With the ability to communicate and present information effectively at all levels, you can manage competing priorities using sound judgement to determine options and solutions and have proven regulatory and commercial acumen with the ability to balance customer service, operational delivery, and financial performance.
You can make balanced decisions, considering all possible information available, consult with others when applicable and anticipate/recognise possible outcomes, and help us to ensure that regulatory and license requirements of the customer quotations activities are met and can be audited to demonstrate compliance. Being a strong people manager, you can monitor and track performance and delivery, identifying key improvements to delivery method or processes to drive efficiency.

Being a skilled and experienced customer service manager, you can support and develop your team to deliver fantastic service across all key business areas and can overcome any challenges or push back due to the resilience you have built, by working in a similar role with and the experience of people management you have built upon throughout your career.
