Senior Nurse Practitioner / Paramedic Practitioner (NHS AfC: Band 7) - Urgent Care - Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust
Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust – Folkestone, Kent
We are looking to recruit additional Senior Nurse / Paramedic Practitioners into our newly developed Urgent Treatment Centres.
1. 1st level nurse with at least 2 years’ experience as a band 6 Nurse/ Paramedic Practitioner in A&E or MIU.
2. Experience of working in an Urgent Treatment Centre.
3. Degree or undertaking a degree in advanced practice.
4. A&E radiology (Red Dot) and evidence of specialist courses demonstrating an ability to assess, diagnose and treat patients with illness or injury.
5. Evidence of completing an in-house training module for nurse practitioners or relevant course for an Emergency Care Practitioner.
We are looking for a band 7 Senior Nurse / Paramedic Practitioner with proven leadership skills who can work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver a high standard of patient-focused care within the standards set out by both government and trust policies.
The post is part or full time. The department can be busy and diverse in an ever-changing environment and we are looking for highly motivated members to join our team, who are adaptable to clinical change on a shift basis.
The post has been developed to cover shift patterns at the Folkestone and Deal Urgent Treatment Centres; however, sometimes internal rotation across the service is required.
You should have the ability to work autonomously, “think on your feet,” and take responsibility for the unit, being willing to develop and expand your clinical practice within the service guidelines.
The service opening times in the Minor Injuries is 8am to 8pm seven days a week.
A comprehensive corporate induction programme is provided at the commencement of employment.
Additional Working Pattern: 37.5 over 7 days.
