An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dedicated individual to join the Trust as a Finance Manager in the Management Accounts team on a fixed term basis supporting the Mental Health, Learning Disability and Autism Collaborative.

Main duties of the job
* Meet with budget holders on a regular basis to review expenditure and provide professional financial advice and information.
* Give accurate and timely financial reports to the programme director and workstream leads to inform updates at board level. Reports include financial summary reports, analysis of variances and forecast outturn.
* Liaise with various providers of services across the ICB to track expenditure, consolidate this and submit monitoring information to internal and external organisations when required.
* Offer timely co-production of funding bids/expressions of interest - providing costing input, advice, and challenge to potential funding streams.
* Support the annual budget setting process for the programme areas; liaise with budget holders to ensure efficient and effective use of financial resources.
* Coordinate, evaluate and provide recommendations to senior leaders on the submission and evaluation of regional revenue and capital bids. Support with the allocation of funds and report on their progress and outcome.
Person specification
Qualifications
* Qualified accountant through a CCAB master's degree or with equivalent experience.
Experience
* Have specialist knowledge and experience of financial and management accounting principles and practice.
* Have a robust understanding of financial systems and have the ability to extract, interpret, and present relevant information for different users.
Desirable criteria
* Experience in an NHS or public sector finance environment.
Skills
* Accounting skills including financial analysis, planning and option appraisal.
* Ability to use a full range of formulae to create spreadsheets and databases capable of recording, manipulating and analysing highly complex data and statistics.
* Evidence of excellent oral and written communication.

Where operationally feasible the Trust supports agile working, there is an expectation of attendance of 1 day per week at a Trust site as a minimum operationally. If required for the post the ability to commute within the Trust's geographical area with access to the appropriate means of transport would be essential.
