If appointed, you will be required to provide an efficient front-line service to the public and ensure that appropriate customer care policies and procedures are adhered to. You will operate in accordance with service guidelines, health and safety policy and will follow all associated risk assessments and standard operating procedures. You will be a member of an area team providing administrative and clerical support to Community Use. In addition, you will be: engage with customers and service users in a positive manner respond to customer enquiries and requests by answering telephones, emails operating our booking procedures and systems. Providing an efficient reception service by welcoming visitors Answering and returning telephone calls Dealing with customer enquiries Taking payments and cash reconciliation Maintaining registers and waiting lists Resolve and handle complaints, comments and compliments: escalating these when required On occasions, this role may include lone working. At times the needs of the operating of the facility may require you do perform additional tasks such as setting up/dismantling equipment, setting up rooms for hires, opening/closing areas and other tasks involved in the daily operations. The Person We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with the ability to be able to work unsupervised and independently as part of a wider team. You will possess effective communication skills, be customer focussed and demonstrate a “can-do” attitude at all times. The successful applicant must also: Be educated to SCQF level 4. Be confident and level-headed when dealing with people at all levels. Be flexible and able to work on their own initiative. Have excellent team working skills. Possess a good understanding of IT and capable of using a variety of internal systems. You may be required to obtain a Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Membership or Disclosure Check for this role. A cheery and chatty personality and good organisational skills are vital for this role.
