Salary: Up to £35,000 depending on experience

Contracted Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. There will be an on-call requirement when trucks are running, to include days, weekends and Bank Holidays.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Scheduler (Palletised Goods) to join our team at Huntworth Mill. With matrix management this role reports into Site Operations Manager and Group Transport Manager but you’ll also be working closely with the Palletised Goods Supply Chain Manager and you’ll be overseeing and coordinating the daily scheduling and route planning for our Bag Drivers.
About You
So that you're set for success, we're looking for someone who has a strong knowledge of transport regulations and compliance requirements and can develop working relationships across the business to maximise customer opportunity and quality of service. You will need to be self-motivated, resilient and an excellent communicator.
What you will be doing as an Transport Scheduler…
* Promote a positive Health & Safety culture
* Ensure compliance with EU drivers hours and Road Transport (Working Time) Regulations
* Ensure all vehicles are operated in line with DVSA Roadworthiness guidelines
* Produce the driver’s weekly rota for the Bag Drivers at Huntworth mill
* Produce daily transport schedules for multi drop deliveries for a mixed fleet of arctic and rigid vehicles
