What's involved with this role: Role: Intelligent Transport Systems Project Manager Job Ref: QAD 2836/0402 Pay Rate: Competitive Market Rate Hours per week: 37 hours per week Contract Length: Anticipated 12 months, possible extension Location: Glasgow We are seeking a Project Manager to manage critical Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) Projects. You will play a key role in the management of the traffic systems Contract and oversight of the contractors to ensure high performance levels, value for money and delivery of the desired outcomes. Candidates must have direct experience with ITS, including underlying technologies, data, and software/hardware, as well as strong project management skills to effectively collaborate with the supply chain and stakeholders. Key accountabilities: Project manage critical ITS projects to support the oversight and development of the Traffic System. Support decision making and strategy development around system obsolesance / investment, future systems architecture and connected / data services. Support the management / optimisations of traffic signals. Key accountabilities: Demonstrable experience and expertise relating to ITS systems management. Demonstrable relevant ITS project management experience in a roads (or transportation) environment. Demonstrable experience of working with a wide range of stakeholders, developing, and maintaining credible relationships and experience in providing advice and support to a senior level. Demonstrable experience of contract management and successfully delivering a range of priorities in a complex and challenging environment with a flexible approach to team working. Expert knowledge relating to ITS systems development and application, including that relating to contemporary / emerging technology solutions, systems architecture, hosting and security. Experience relating to the management, operation and optimisation of traffic signals.
