Jenson Fisher are delighted to be working in partnership with our Ayrshire-based client to recruit a Financial Controller on a permanent, full time basis. Reporting into the Group Head of Finance, based at an alternate site, our client are providing a first class opportunity for a fully qualified (ACCA, CA, CIMA or equivalent) finance professional to contribute to the continued success of the business via robust financial direction alongside expert strategic leadership, forming a critical part of the Senior Leadership Team.
The successful candidate will receive a first class salary and benefits package and the opportunity to work for a business who are widely considered to be leaders in their operational areas. In this hands on role, you will lead the team with ultimate responsibiltiy for reporting financial accounts, management accounts and other business information as required alongside financial reporting to enable strategic decision making whilst contributing on tax matters across the company.
As the Financial Controller, your responsibiltiies will include:
- Leadership and mentoring of a small finance department.
- Participate and contribute as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, providing financial voice from a spending perspective.
- Ownership of budgets and forecasts for the business and working alongside the Managing Director on business planning.
- All general accounting matters ranging from management and statutory reporting as outlined above alongside capital investment management.
- Continuously improving financial processes and procedures and perception of finance as an enabling feature of the business.
- Maintaining robust financial and management processes are adhered to at all times.
- Significant involvement in salaries, appraisals etc alongside HR.
This role may well suit an experienced Financial Controller looking to utilise their skills within a fresh working environment however may also suit a dynamic Finance Manager who is looking to progress their career into this Financial Controller post. You will possess excellent communication skills and a natural ability to communicate financial information to non-financial people and positively influence colleagues and stakeholders across the business.
