Mechanical Fitter / Winder
I am searching for a skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter / Winder to join the team of a growing business in Exeter. In this role, you'll play a key part in the workshop, taking responsibility for winding tasks, repairing electrical motors, pumps, gearboxes, and other rotating electromechanical machinery. Key Responsibilities:
Expert Repairs: Conduct repairs on electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, and generators, ensuring that all repairs meet high-quality standards.
Winding Specialist: Bring your specialised electro-mechanical knowledge, focusing on rewinding AC and DC motors, stators, armatures, and transformers.
High & Low Voltage Works: Perform both low and high voltage rewinds and refurbishment of electric motors and generators.
Deadline Driven: Ensure all tasks are completed within specified timeframes to meet customer expectations and project deadlines.
Collaborative Team Player: Contribute to team success by taking on additional tasks as needed, supporting the smooth operation of the workshop.What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in the repair and refurbishment of electrical motors, pumps, gearboxes, and generators.
Expertise in rewinding AC and DC motors, stators, armatures, and transformers.
Knowledge of both low and high voltage electrical systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining the highest quality of workmanship.
