Project & role summary:
This role will have a core focus on ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day Insurance activities as well as actively supporting the Group Head of Insurance with the implementation of the strategy. You will take a proactive role in supporting on all aspects of the company's insurance portfolio including claims management, oversight and management of financial and administrative matters and key support in the annual renewals process.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the Group Head of Insurance to liaise with insurers, brokers and claims handlers, providing management insights to enhance accountability and reduce claims.
* Assist in the insurance renewal process, including strategy development, insurer presentations and ensuring renewal timelines are met.
* Lead oversight of daily insurance tasks, including policy payments and claims administration, ensuring team resilience.
* Manage claims administration, facilitating effective communication between the Insurance team, business, brokers and solicitors.
* Work closely with brokers and third-party experts to enhance the company’s insurance approach.
Skills:
* Professional audit, risk management or insurance (CII) qualification.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Strong team player with the desire to share knowledge and collaborate.
* Experience of the practical application of risk and control strategies or auditing controls.
* Ability to communicate effectively, establish credibility and develop innovative ways of working as a 2nd line business support function.
