This opportunity is for our Thales UK Optronics & Missile Electronics (OME) organisation and directly contribute to the on-going development of the Land, Sea and Air products and systems. We currently have a number of entry level opportunities across Engineering (Systems, Mechanical & Electronics). For this role, we are keen to hear from candidates who have recently graduated or maybe you have just started out in Systems and now looking for a new challenge in an exciting company where you can really develop and build a career.
The successful candidate will be a talented Junior Systems Engineer based in Reading with interest in IVVQ definition in the bid and concept stages, integration and verification of the system, coupled with a desire of delivering mission systems.

Key responsibilities:
1. To create the technical specifications with acceptance criteria for subsystems,
2. To decompose requirements, ensuring that they have been partitioned and detailed to a level appropriate for the design to commence.
3. To ensure, with the support of Specialty Engineering experts & Safety/HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) stakeholders:
4. That candidate solutions meet regulatory requirements including all applicable standards and legislation. This includes product safety & security and Environmental/HSE requirements and standards
5. That solution designs take into account the contractual requirements
6. That all related certification activities are performed correctly
7. Development of design elements to meet the required performance within the overall system
8. Manage and be responsible for allocated work packages.
9. To define the integration, verification, validation, qualification, certification and acceptance methods and tools
10. Be responsible for collated results and evidence
