THE POST
Reporting to the Assistant Headteacher – Pastoral & Head of Underwood Hall, a Matron is an integral part of the boarding house staff team and play a significant role in the personal development of the pupils under their care. Wymondham College Prep School provides outstanding boarding care for its pupils and a vibrant, inspiring team of boarding house matrons are vital to this continued success.
Boarding House Matrons (Pastoral Care Workers) assist the House leadership team with the care of both boarding and day pupils, with particular responsibility for the health and well-being of boarders and supervision of boarder during the evenings, overnight and mornings.
This Matron post is for Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings and the postholder is required to sleep overnight at Underwood Hall Boarding House.
What the school offers its staff
Wymondham College Prep School opened in September 2020 on the site of Wymondham College, with two Reception classes, a total of 60 pupils. In September 2021 we opened our doors to our new Prep School building, as well as our new boarding facilities, Underwood Hall.
We believe that every child deserves to love their time at school and to remember it fondly. To facilitate this, we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspiring and well-organised Deputy Boarding House Manager to join our richly rewarding school and boarding house.
