Job Opportunity: Electric Actuators Product Support Engineer
Due to growth, our well-established global client has an exciting opportunity for an Electric Actuators Product Support Engineer. The role involves answering technical questions, assisting with customer applications, and troubleshooting. This support will involve setting up and programming PLCs, motor drivers, and industrial communications (PROFINET, EtherCAT, IO-Link, etc.).
The successful candidate will also be required to:
1. Design and deliver training courses/presentations.
2. Write user manuals and technical guides.
3. Carry out investigations and tests to evaluate products.
Requirements:
1. A Degree or HND Qualification - Electronics, Electromechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
2. Minimum 1 year relevant work experience.
3. Knowledge of PLCs and Ladder or Structured Text programming language.
4. Knowledge of electrical motion control for industrial applications.
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills, as you will be required to write detailed, technical reports and product documentation.
6. The ability to occasionally travel to Europe.
Desirable, but not essential skills:
1. Experience of inspecting and testing devices.
2. Working knowledge of pneumatic and electrical test equipment.
3. Experience to plan and manage projects.
4. Technical product support experience.
5. Experience of delivering technical training.
6. Experience with some industrial communication protocols, for example, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, and IO-Link.
