Job Description:
As Treasury Manager, the role purpose is to fully manage the control of cash for Snacks, Sweets & Rowse, monitoring of inflows and outflows, providing recommendations on tools required to manage pinch points.
* Ensure weekly reconciliations are complete for Factoring.
* Help to answer all queries which arise in the factoring process.
* Manage the Factoring balance sheet control accounts.
* Monitor cash flow, check the bank and oversee the forward-looking 30-day file.
* Escalate any foreseen cash challenges, including providing recommendations on resolution.
* Liaise with AR/AP teams to gain clarity on payments or incoming funds due that could significantly impact cash, including overseeing the weekly payment run process.
* Review and approve ad-hoc bank payments and transfers.
* Manage forward contracts on currency, aligning with Group policy while providing recommendations when rates are favorable.
* Oversee cash book postings and reconciliations, supporting corrective actions where needed to resolve issues found.
* Oversee the expenses processes across the business, being a point of escalation to push back to stakeholders as needed.
* Review the outputs from the cash flow to ensure these are reasonable and align with business expectations, explaining anomalies.
* Liaise with various stakeholders to ensure that cash flows include up-to-date information.
* Review month-end board pack reporting on Cash and Working Capital and provide commentary/insight.
* Support any ad-hoc internal and group working capital and cash flow projects.
* Provide support for the year-end audit where needed to the Financial Control team.
* Manage and develop a treasury team of 3.
Qualifications:
* A fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
* Previous experience in a finance role supporting and challenging at a senior level.
* Experience within the food industry or commercial environment preferred.
* Be resilient and able to influence at the highest levels within the business through collaboration and constructive challenge.
* Excellent time management and organization skills, necessary to balance and constantly re-prioritize ad hoc projects and workload to tight deadlines.
* Good communication skills.
* Highly analytical and inquisitive mind that can clearly identify problems and inefficiencies and search for solutions.
* Tenacious and able to not just start, but manage and see through to completion a range of value-added projects.
