Advanced Nurse Practitioner (Drug & Alcohol Recovery Services)
Band 7 (or Trainee under Annex 21)
37 hours per week, Permanent
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced ANP to join the Drug and Alcohol Recovery Services (DARS), covering across the geographical areas of Lochaber, Wester Ross, Skye and Lochalsh.
As well as direct patient contact, you will provide clinical leadership, supervision, advice to DARS specific nursing staff, ensuring that individuals accessing service receive evidence-based care within localities.
Ideally you will hold the ANP qualification and have experience in working with individuals who require treatment for addiction. In addition, people with relevant experience who hold a non-medical prescribing qualification can be considered for a trainee post under Annex 21 of Agenda for Change.
Working closely with equivocal posts across North Highland, you will have a lead role in ensuring robust local pathways and service development processes are in place within Lochaber, Skye, Lochalsh and Wester Ross.
Location is negotiable within NHS Highland geographical boundaries providing you are able to physically present within the workplace in areas of responsibility. Some work may be delivered using assistive technologies i.e. Attend Anywhere, MS Teams
A relocation package may be available for the successful candidate
Shift pattern is currently working hours Monday – Friday but there is intention to move to a North Highland wide seven day service and as such there will be a requirement to work some unsocial hours including weekends.
