We have a fantastic opportunity for a Transport Planner (Controller) to join our team based in Somerset.
About the role:
As a Controller /Planner you will be providing a vital service as a liaison between our ambulance control centre, our operational staff, patients and Health Care Professionals.

Duties include:
* Planning and controlling of daily ambulance journeys transporting medically eligible patients to and from NHS healthcare facilities.
* Controlling a complex operation consisting of over 150 ambulances delivering 1000+ patient journeys per day.
To be considered as Controller, you will need to be:
* Good telephone manner
* Be customer service focused and able to effectively handle sensitive situations
* Have a good geographic knowledge of the areas
* Be able to stay calm under pressure
* Ability to take initiative
* Working effectively as a part of the team
* Experience working in a similar transport control/dispatcher environment would be beneficial however, full training is provided for this role.

Full training for this role will be provided along with ongoing training and support to help you thrive at EMED.
