Job summary Avocet is a 21 bedded sub-acute elderly medicine and rehabilitation ward. Patients are admitted with a range of long-term medical conditions such as respiratory and cardiovascular diseases, and orthopaedic conditions. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the continuous development of the ward and advancement in patient-centred care, as well as keen to progress in their knowledge and skills. Main duties of the job The post holder will be responsible for providing all aspects of patient care through the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of programs of care. The post holder will assist and is expected to supervise junior staff and be able to teach qualified and unqualified staff. The post holder will work effectively as a member of the multi-disciplinary team to support the planning and achievement of local service objectives.
