We are seeking an experienced and fully qualified Electrician to join a housing association on a temporary basis. This role is covering sickness and vacancy while they recruit permanently. The position is expected to last for approximately 8 weeks, though the exact duration may vary.
Vacancy Brief:
* Job Title: Electrician (Temporary)
* Location: Kings Lynn/Dereham & Covering Norfolk/North Suffolk
* Pay Rate: £18.00 – £22.00 per hour (Dependent on experience)
* Duration: Approx. 8 Weeks (Temporary Cover)
* Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch)
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver electrical repairs and maintenance services for responsive repairs and void properties.
* Support the Planned Electrical Team with installations and planned works (e.g., Aids and Adaptations, Kitchens).
* Ensure timely completion of all works in line with performance targets.
* Respond to tenant inquiries professionally and escalate issues as necessary.
* Support and mentor trainees, encouraging a learning environment.
* Work across Norfolk and North Suffolk, primarily based in Kings Lynn and Dereham.
* Comply with the association's health and safety and diversity policies.
* Undertake additional duties as required.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
* Fully qualified Electrician with City & Guilds 2357 (or equivalent) and City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection and Testing) and the 18th Edition.
* Must have a valid full driving license (company vehicle provided for work-related travel).
* Enhanced DBS check required (will be processed before starting).
* Strong communication and customer service skills.
