Igne are seeking an experienced Transactional Finance Supervisor to oversee and manage the existing finance team in Gillingham, Kent. This newly created role will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Sales / Purchase Ledger and Credit Control function. Alongside being directly involved with the daily operations you will be provide direction and guidance to the wider team to ensure all financial transactions are accurately processed and up to date. The successful candidate will need to have previous management experience within a finance environment, along with advanced Microsoft skills for effective financial reporting and analysis. Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the Transactional Finance Manager you will: Day-to-day management of the transactional finance team, including recruitment, performance reviews and training to ensure competence and compliance with systems and procedures. Lead and manage Igne’s accounting ledgers, ensuring reconciliations of balance sheet control accounts (purchase ledger, sales ledgers and bank accounts) Lead on Igne’s credit control and ensure accurate records of all communications and transactions related to debt collection Prepare regular reports on outstanding debts and present findings to management Utilise accounting software for data entry and management of financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies Evaluate and enhance financial processes to improve efficiency and accuracy Create a working environment for the team that is flexible to respond to changing business needs, whilst adhering to and maintaining necessary financial controls. Essential Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with strong technical accounting experience Proven track record of team management and leadership Advanced Excel skills and experience with Microsoft Dynamics (or similar accounting system) Good understanding of transactional finance and process improvement Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail, enabling effective assessment of financial information Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail Exceptional communication skills with all stakeholders Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to maintain positive client relationships Salary & Benefits: Salary on offer is £45,000 - £48,000 We operate a hybrid model (minimum 3 days in the office) 25 days holiday bank holidays Continuous training and development Discretionary bonus scheme Medical cashback plan Death in service scheme.
