The Environment and Health and Safety Coordinator role is responsible for delivering advice and support in the field of Environmental Health and Safety, to ensure that Ericsson is achieving the highest possible standards on the projects in the UK and Ireland. Working with and supporting the EHS team and wider business to deliver Ericsson EHS strategy and Ways of Working, escalating when specialist EHS support is required. The Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator is expected to utilize their skills to maintain EHS systems and utilize data to ensure KPI, monitoring, and reporting processes are in place across the sites to provide local, project function and regional visibility of EHS performance. Using their analytical skills to support trending of EHS data, to drive and continuously improve EHS performance. In addition, as part of the role you will be expected to build and forge relationships with stakeholders to support the cascading and collation of EHS information and records, coordinating meetings and supporting risk management within Ericsson to drive continuous improvement.
What you will do:
• Promote Environment, Health and Safety (EHS), supporting the implementation of EHS strategy, fostering and promoting Safety Culture, coaching, enabling, promoting and encouraging safe working practices and behaviors promoting Target Zero Culture.
• Support Risk Management, coordinating High-risk calls, maintaining risk registers, escalating significant issues to project risk registers.
• Provide support to projects reviewing EHS Construction Design Management documentation.
• Provide advice and guidance to a range of internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to UK EHS Team.
• Support engagement with ASPs building relations, collating and cascading EHS information supporting vendor management of ASPs in relation to EHS as per supplier and work lists, maintaining ASP EHS records and UK authority to work approvals, providing point of escalation when required.
• Provide oversight and governance for EHS software systems, ASP High-risk Trackers, QPL and PICW registers to ensure compliance of ASPs, tracking and working with projects/ASPs to review open actions to closure.
• Provide document controls and SharePoint management of EHS project and NMSD records.
• Provide EHS data to EHS SMEs, supporting dashboard development and analytics, to trend EHS data to drive continuous EHS improvement.
• Establish and maintain good Internal and external relationships, influencing the EHS performance of ASP and E/// teams.
• Promote and encourage all internal and external personnel to report incidents, near misses, hazards and safety suggestions.
• Support Accident and Incident Investigations providing specialist support that may be required to establish root cause and provide support in tracking and implementing recommendations.
• Proactively act to identify innovative solutions and improvements to mitigate risk or achieve Environmental sustainability ambitions and promote EHS improvements and initiatives generally.
• Support collation of monthly EHS reporting requirements for projects and UK&I, including those relevant to the annual MELA KPI’s.
• Any other duties to support EHS management with project/region as determined by senior management.
Skills you will bring:
* Health and Safety qualification such as NEBOSH certificate or appropriate experience.
* Fluency in English.
* ISO 14000 and ISO 14001 standards knowledge.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft office packages.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Detail-oriented and organized.
* A proactive approach to health and safety.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent interpersonal, social and communication skills.
Nice to have:
* Telecoms industry or high-risk environment awareness.
* Awareness of hazards involved in construction.
* Knowledge of Construction Design and Management (CDM 2015) Regulations.
* Working knowledge of Power BI.
* Local Market Knowledge.
