Overview
The Preventative Maintenance Specialist is responsible for reviewing, executing/scheduling, and adjusting the Preventative Maintenance (PM) jobs at the site for fixed and rotating equipment. They will have a reliability and/or continuous improvement mindset to actively identify opportunities for upgrades/improvement and support implementation where possible. This position will act as a subject matter expert (SME) for fixed and rotating equipment at the Enoree site.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for the mechanical preventative maintenance program of the site, including fixed and rotating equipment.
* Review current PMs that are in SAP for correct classification (priority), validity, accuracy, value, and appropriate detail for the PM process.
* Ensure equipment criticality and asset protection align with the requirements within the PM.
* Prepares monthly look ahead in collaboration with Operations, Technical, and Maintenance teams in order to work on items requiring a shutdown.
* Document findings/learnings from the PM to help build a history and adjust PM intervals where applicable.
* When equipment changes or upgrades are needed input MOC (management of change) when required, obtain quote, and enter requisitions for the required part(s).
* Proactively supply turnaround group with upcoming PMs that will need to be worked during the scheduled turnarounds or planned inventory control downtimes.
* Utilizes a continuous improvement process that systematically addresses deficiencies and improvement opportunities in the preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, execution and other relevant processes.
* The PM specialist offers counsel on the completion of the work order and follows-up when work has been completed regarding the job pack quality.
* This position must communicate with Operations, Technical, Maintenance and managerial personnel to ensure optimization of the PM process.
* Follows-up on relevant action items from RCAs or learning teams.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or GED
* 5+ years in maintenance, engineering, or related fields in a heavy industrial environment
* Experience with rotating equipment required
* Experience with fixed equipment preferred
* SAP plant maintenance experience preferred
* Self-driven with minimal oversight of work
* Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, piping, hydraulic, and pneumatic process systems as needed to perform job requirements
* Interpersonal skills to liaise with the rest of the Maintenance Team, Manufacturing and QA Technicians, and Supervisors
* Enoree specific process equipment knowledge a plus
* Working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel, Outlook, and Word
* Demonstrated problem solving skills
