The role
London Stansted has launched a five-year, £1.1 billion investment programme to improve passenger experience and expand global connectivity. The plans feature a £600 million terminal extension, adding more seating, shops, bars, and restaurants, along with upgraded security, a 14.3MW solar farm, enhanced wayfinding and airfield improvements. This development is designed to support future growth, sustainability, and accommodate up to 43 million passengers per year.
We are looking for a new Health and Safety Business Partner to support our business through this period of change. The opportunity is focused within Operations, and will see you partner with your designated business area to provide direction on the requirements for meeting Health & Safety procedures and regulations. You’ll provide professional judgement and advice on the most appropriate means to control and manage risks to Health and Safety and make judgements on the root causes of accidents and incidents together with recommended actions to prevent future recurrence.
What will make you successful in the role?
* Has experience in delivering exceptional safety standards in high-risk operational environments.
* Holds a NEBOSH diploma or an equivalent degree.
* Is an excellent communicator with the ability to influence and engage colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
* Possesses strong analytical skills to assess information and develop effective solutions.
* Has experience in developing accredited Health & Safety management and quality systems.
* Passionate about people and workplace safety, fostering a culture of engagement and collaboration.
* Flexible, adaptable, and thrives in dynamic environments where no two days are the same.
* Approaches challenges with a positive and supportive mindset.
* Maintains a professional level of communication at all times.
