About the Role
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing projects that support the transformation and continuous improvement of activities and ways of working within the Assessment team. This includes scope definition, planning and scheduling, regular tracking and reporting (incl. budgets) and management of decisions, actions, risks and issues. You will lead and pro-actively contribute to the implementation of best practice in project management processes and ensure project activities in ELT Assessment are consistent with those in the wider ELT Product teams, and aligned to the ELT Strategy.
Key responsibilities in this role will include:
1. Project Management of enabling projects within the Assessment portfolio: As allocated by the Portfolio Product Manager, project manage and lead on major cross-functional projects from concept initiation to delivery of benefits, incl. regular reporting and budget tracking.
2. Benefits management: With support from the Portfolio Product Manager, identify and assess the expected benefits derived from projects and from process delivery.
3. Change Management: Assess the impact of change resulting from enabling projects and contribute to communication and change plans; communicate change to internal stakeholders and suppliers.
4. Continuous Improvement: Identify and contribute to the continuous improvement of ELT Assessment workflows and processes by setting up and managing change projects
5. Project Management Best Practice: Ensure consistency of project management tools and best practice across cross-functional groups by working with other project management colleagues internally and externally.
6. Communication: Facilitate effective communications between cross-functional teams, incl. regular updates across streamlined channels

We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
7. Extensive experience of managing large and complex projects and programmes pro-actively, ideally including digital projects, to schedule and budget.
8. Experience of working in a matrix environment and facilitating communication in cross-functional teams.
9. Knowledge of digital processes and ways of working
10. Willingness to learn about product development processes to ensure Assessment joins up with Product where relevant / takes advantage of existing processes.
11. Proficiency with MS Project or other scheduling and tracking software.
12. Proficiency with Excel or other data management software
13. PRINCE2, Agile, APM or other recognized project management certification (desirable)
14. Experience of setting up and implementing new workflows and processes (desirable)
15. Experience of automating processes (desirable)
